You can have it in standard diameter (approx. 6mm) or thin (approx. 4.5mm). The choice of cable is very simple: the thicker the cable, the lower the signal loss. For best performance get thick cable.  If aesthetics or ease of installation is more important than "rain fade resistance" then go for thin cable. If cable colour indoors matters, check what we have to offer. However, we do recommend weather protection outdoors by painting the cable or running it inside pipe or conduit, so colour choice outdoors may not matter as much. And you can, of course, join different coloured cables and thickness together with only very minimal signal loss, by using cable couplers (available individually or in our "cable joint kits"). Alternatively, you can use an 'F' connector plate indoors to join your outdoor cable and indoor cable. The "F" plugs that we stock have been carefully selected to match the cable that we supply (silicone grease should be applied). So the RG6FPLUG is for our RG6/SATDS cable, which is very soft and requires a fractionally tighter fit. The H109FPLUG was originally for CT100 cable. That is no longer manufactured and was superseded by H109F cable then by WC100, which is also obsolete. The WF1FPLUG is for WF 100 and TX100 cable, which is foam-filled and requires the slackest fitting. So the internal thread of this plug is the widest diameter of the three. The difference in internal diameter is a fraction of a millimetre and difficult to see or to measure, but it IS important. We know of no other supplier which bothers to ensure that the plug fits the cable. If you are in any doubt, please order all three and try them. They aren't exactly expensive! (Unfortunately, we can't advise which plug fits other suppliers' cables.) We also supply coloured cable suitable for Sky, Freeview, Virgin. We offer cables cut to standard lengths and on reels. Audiophile Notes A popular way to minimise inductance in loudpeaker wires is to use two lengths of WF100 coaxial cable (or the twin version, below) and connect the outer copper braid of one cable to the inner copper wire of the other for both cables at both ends. Solder short, flexible, multistrand wires to the ends and finish with hot-melt adhesive or potting compound for strength and protection. To avoid short-circuits place an insulating sleeve over at least one of the "braided pigtails". Silicone grease should be used when fitting plugs to cable. More info. or purchase click HERE. Each cable is only 4.8 mm thick and, together, the pair can be pushed through a standard 10 mm hole (as used for obsolete CT100/H109/WC100). We recommend 20 metre maximum length before LNB signal loss might become a problem. You can use a longer length if you increase the dish size. (For piping UHF signals you can use a much longer length since losses at UHF frequencies are lower - around 0.3dB/metre). "Shotgun" WF65 has significant losses at LNB frequencies (hence my recommendation to limit runs to about 20 metres) but its losses at UHF frequencies are much lower. At only 4 mm diameter, "shotgun" is a convenient and unobtrusive cable to use for indoor runs. If you need to run only one cable, simply pull it apart. PLEASE NOTE! WF65 has a thinner central core wire than standard coaxial cable. If the LNB or tuner connector that you will plug it in to has been used with a thicker cable previously, its contacts may have sprung apart and might not make reliable contact with WF65.
